Join us for our Annual Red Ribbon Charity Luncheon

The annual Red Ribbon Charity Luncheon is SACADA’s signature fundraising event, dedicated to supporting the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness. This inspiring gathering brings together community leaders, educators, advocates, and supporters who share a common goal: promoting substance use prevention and education.

The luncheon highlights the meaningful impact of SACADA’s programs on youth, families, and the greater San Antonio area. Guests will hear from keynote speaker Tony Hoffman, witness moving personal stories from individuals whose lives have been changed through SACADA’s services, and celebrate the 2025 Allan K. DuBois Community Champion, Dr. Jennifer Potter.

Proceeds from the event go directly toward funding SACADA’s vital prevention, intervention, and education initiatives—empowering individuals to make healthy, informed, and substance-free life choices.

ABOUT TONY HOFFMAN

From battling addiction and incarceration to pursuing Olympic dreams and creating nationwide impact, Tony Hoffman’s story is one of remarkable transformation. Once a top-ranked BMX rider, Tony’s life took a dark turn due to opioid addiction, leading to homelessness, criminal activity, and a two-year prison sentence. While behind bars, he set four ambitious goals: return to BMX as a professional, reach the Olympics, launch a nonprofit, and share his story to inspire others.

Since his release in 2008, Tony has accomplished each of these goals—coaching at the 2016 Rio Olympics, founding the Freewheel Project to support youth, and becoming a leading speaker on mental health and substance use. He is also the founder of pH Wellness treatment center and a published author.
